Transportation workers across the United States are on the frontlines of the Covid-19 battle. As a result, our TWU membership has been hit very hard by this disease. We honor our fallen brothers and sisters here, as we mourn our losses and continue to fight like hell for the living.
The Transport Workers Union Of America, AFL-CIO (TWU) strongly supports the bipartisan coronavirus aid, relief, and economic security (Cares) Act (H.R. 748). The Cares Act helps stabilize the transportation sector and delivers immediate aid to frontline workers.
TWU Local 577, representing 1,700 Flight Attendants working for Allegiant Airlines, ratified a new five-year contract on Monday – locking in immediate wage increases ranging from 20 to 41.2 percent. The contact was ratified on a decisive vote, with 90 percent of votes in favor and 97 percent of eligible voters casting a ballot. …
