Local 101 Fundraiser Helps Families of Deceased Members

The 5th Annual Local 101 Charity Golf Classic raised nearly $30,000 to benefit the families of active members who died in the past year.

The proceeds enabled the Local to present $10,000 each to the families of members Bill Paluski, Bobby Agresto and Peter Balkissoon. Both union and management employees at National Grid (formerly KeySpan) support the event. Local Vice President Mike Conigliaro said that workers support the event by either playing a round of golf, or by buying raffle tickets.

The Local presented the checks at a recent membership meeting at a Knights of Columbus hall in Brooklyn.
