The Warriors Unit Project (TWU Project)
Attention all: the Air Transport Division Veterans Committee (ATDVC) has organized a humanitarian mission to help our country's wounded soldiers and veterans who have sacrificed and dedicated their lives to protect America and its citizens. On March 23-24, the ATDVC will be visiting Walter Reed Medical Hospital in Washington, D.C. to deliver donated items to patients and to thank them for their service.

You can help! If everyone pitches in and contributes what they can afford, the TWU will be able to deliver a package fit for these deserving soldiers and vets. Below is the list of items most requested by Walter Reed Hospital that the ATDVC will be collecting:
  1. Tear away pants – Velcro or snap-ons: these are highly requested by the hospital for amputee patients and patients in casts (Nike and Adidas are the major manufacturers of this kind of clothing)
  2. Electric Razors
  3. Button up or snap-up shirts - short and long sleeve – men's and women's
  4. Skivvies - all sizes (aka underwear for non-military)
  5. Socks (all types and sizes)
  6. Combs and hair brushes men's and women's
  7. Toiletries - toothpaste, tooth brush, Q-Tips, sanitary wipes (small individual packages)
  8. Grocery gift cards or phone cards
  9. Beef Jerky (packaged only)
  10. DVDs (new or used) and magazines (new)
The ATDVC will gladly accept monetary donations to be put towards the purchasing of these items.
