IT'S TIME TO
Restore Workers' Freedom
Working people are struggling to get by, and America's middle class is disappearing. But when workers try to form unions and bargain for a better life, corporations use coercion and harrassment to stop them. The Employee Free Choice Act would restore workers' freedom to decide for themselves -- without employer intimidation -- whether to from unions and bargain for better wages, benefits and a voice on the job.
The Employee Free Choice Act would:
  • Establish stronger penalties for companies that violate the rights of workers forming unions and negotiating first contracts.
  • Provide mediation and arbitration when workers and the employer can't agree on a first contract.
  • Allow workers to form unions and bargain once a majority signs authorization cards.

Take action today by signing your name to the letter on the right side of this page urging the President and Congress to pass the Employee Free Choice Act!

To: The President and Congress

I urge you to enact the Employee Free Choice Act immediately. This crucial legislation will protect workers' freedom to choose a union and bargain without management intimidation. This will allow more workers to freely join unions and bargain with their employers. We can help rebuild the middle class by expanding health care, improving retirement security, and raising the standard of living for America's working families. Bargaining rights are worth working and voting for!
