Tony McCoy hired on with American Airlines in March, 1990 as a Facilities Maintenance Mechanic at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. That same year, he became a Shop Steward for Local 513. McCoy ran for Section Chairman and served in that capacity from 1992-1998, and then he served on the Local’s Executive Board from 1998 to 2003. From 2003 to 2005 McCoy served as the Recording Secretary of Local 513. He joined the ATD staff as a Specialist for Title II affairs in January 2006.

“Title II has historically been one of the smaller work groups at AA,” says McCoy. “And I want to ensure they have a continued voice to represent their issues and concerns. The best way to do this is to actively stay involved in the Transport Workers Union.”

Tony is married and has a son and daughter with three grandchildren. He and his family enjoy skiing, scuba diving and cooking out. Tony especially enjoys hunting and fishing when he has the time.
