On Nov. 9, 2018, TWU members attended the Richmond County Board of Education meeting, asking for an investigation into the dilapidated school buses. Instead, the superintendent alluded that the fire was arson.
In the wake of the school board’s unresponsiveness, the TWU has been on the ground speaking with teachers, parents and students, building a coalition to remedy the situation. At the March 7 Citizen’s Town Hall, we will demand honesty, transparency and a solution to fix these Toxic School Buses to ensure the safety and security of all students and operators.
